Universal Epic Universe Theme Park

Sneak Peak at Universal’s Epic Universe Theme Park

We are so excited for Universal Orlando Resort new theme park called Universal Epic Universe, set to open in 2025. This will be their large theme park yet! The park will feature over 50 unique experiences across five themed worlds, including Celestial Park, Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. Each world offers a variety of attractions, dining options, and immersive experiences, making Universal Epic Universe a highly anticipated addition to the Universal Orlando Resort.
Universe Epic Celestial

Celestial Park

An imaginative world full of gardens, waterfalls and nature trail-like pathways, Celestial Park “puts the ‘park’ back in ‘theme park.” Admire the architecture inspired by astrology and mythology, as you stroll through the living gardens. Additionally, when you’re ready to reenter the real world at the end of the night, you’ll experience an epic transformation as the entire area lights up in a breathtaking display. This is the place to relax and take in the sights and sounds of the frogciting worlds around you.
Hungry for more? Well, you’re in luck! We also know what you’ll get to enjoy while exploring the ethereal Celestial Park:
  • Starfall Racers: A dual-launch racing coaster that will send you dashing in the skies, Starfall Racers reaches speeds up to 62 miles per hour and heights up to 133 feet along 5,000 feet of track. This thrilling coaster experience features a “Celestial Spin,” in which the two coaster vehicles execute an inverted crisscross maneuver. Oh … and be sure to ride again at night as the coaster is covered with hundreds of points of light that make the vehicles look like shooting comets in the night sky. (Psst! If you’re a true Universal fan, don’t froget to take a look on the back of each coaster vehicle for some “outatime” Easter eggs!)
  • Constellation Carousel: The grand centerpiece of Celestial Park, you’ll board a celestial creature that glides forward, backward and even 360 degrees, as if you’re riding on constellations within the Milky Way! The ride is also covered with hundreds of lights.
  • Astronomica: An interactive wet-play area, Astrononimca doubles as a giant compass rose to the many wonders of Epic Universe. With crystal blue fountains that spring to life and dance around guests, this is another attraction you’re going to want to come back to once the sun sets.
  • Atlantic Restaurant: Surrounded by the shimmering waters of Neptune’s pool and lined with floor-to-ceiling Victorian glass walls, Atlantic is a full-service “surf and turf” restaurant set inside a breathtaking glass aquarium. Enjoy the freshest seafood as you take in captivating views of Celestial Park.
  • The Blue Dragon Pan-Asian Restaurant: The Blue Dragon, a full-service restaurant, will serve authentic flavors from China, Southeast Asia and Japan. Be prepared to dine under the constellations with dancing lanterns accented by neon dragons as vibrant as the delectable menu. Need a break from the bustle? Grab a seat at the cozy Tiger Bar for a drink.
  • The Oak & Star Tavern: Indulge in some savory barbecue.
  • Pizza Moon: Enjoy a tasty menu featuring a variety of pizzas and more.
  • Nintendo Super Star Store: Guests can shop for an assortment of goodies from Super Nintendo World.
  • Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets: Satisfy your cravings with a unique selection of sweet treats and more!

Universe Epic Mario

Super Nintendo World

As previously announced, Super Nintendo World will allow guests to become players in the Nintendo-themed land, blurring the lines between reality and video games. It won’t be the first Super Nintendo World — Universal Studios Japan opened its version in March 2021 and Universal Studios Hollywood opened its own version in 2023. We can’t wait to see how this land will play out (literally)! Get ready to step through that iconic green pipe and discover a new way to play as you enter the worlds of favorite characters, such as Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Donkey Kong.

So, what can you expect from this gaming paradise? Well, get ready to race through the Mushroom Kingdom on the Mario Kart ride, embark on an interactive journey with Yoshi, and experience the thrill of the Donkey Kong roller coaster. And that’s just the beginning!

One thing that sets Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World apart is its sheer size. Spanning over 40,000 square feet larger than its counterpart in Japan, this means more space to explore and enjoy all the magical attractions. Plus, rumor has it that there may even be some exclusive surprises and details unique to the Orlando location. How cool is that?

And let’s talk about the food – because what’s a theme park adventure without some delicious eats? From Toadstool Cafe to Pit Stop Popcorn and Yoshi’s Snack Island, there’s no shortage of themed dining options to fuel up for more fun.

But perhaps the most exciting part is how you’ll enter this gaming utopia. Picture this: a portal adorned with colorful pipes and floating Power-Ups, transporting you into a world of adventure. And once inside, you’ll be greeted by familiar sights like the iconic green pipes and Peach’s Castle – talk about a grand entrance!

Now, for all you tech-savvy gamers out there, get ready for an immersive experience like no other. The Mario Kart ride promises a blend of physical sets, augmented reality, and interactive gameplay, while Yoshi’s Adventure takes you on a scenic tour of the Mushroom Kingdom with a twist – you get to interact with the ride itself! And let’s not forget about the epic Donkey Kong roller coaster, featuring both indoor and outdoor segments for a wild ride through the game’s beloved world.

With all these incredible attractions and dining experiences, it’s safe to say that Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe is shaping up to be a must-visit destination for gamers and theme park enthusiasts alike. So mark your calendars for 2025 and get ready to level up your vacation game – it’s going to be legendary!

Universe Epic Harry Potter

So, what can we expect from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic? Well, get ready to be transported to the British Ministry of Magic, blended with a hint of 1920s wizarding Paris. It’s going to be a whole new adventure, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.

And let’s not forget about the existing Harry Potter attractions at Universal Orlando Resort. From Hogwarts Castle to Diagon Alley, they’ve already brought so much magic to life. And the rides? Don’t even get me started. We’re talking about thrilling adventures with Harry and friends, family rollercoaster fun, and even a journey through the subterranean vaults of Gringotts.

Oh, and did I mention the most recent addition? Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure! I mean, come on – attending one of Hagrid’s Care of Magical Creatures classes atop a flying motorbike? Sign me up!

So, fellow witches and wizards, mark your calendars for 2025 because Universal Epic Universe is going to take us on the ride of a lifetime. Get ready to explore the wider wizarding world like never before. It’s going to be nothing short of magical!

  • Mead Hall: The beating heart of Berk, this larger-than-life dining space hewn from mountain rock is where you’ll be able to feast like a Viking on hearty meals. Wash down your food with unique beers and mead created just for this fast-casual restaurant!
Universal will be releasing more details on Isle of Berk’s dining and merchandise in the future, so stay tuned!
Dark Universe Epic

Dark Universe

Hold your breath and prepare to enter a dark world of mystery, myth and monsters. Dark Universe will breathe new life into the classic Universal Monster family — such as introducing the experiments of one Dr. Victoria Frankenstein — and reimagine the creatures you know and love in an ominous and chilling experience. For years, we’ve seen these iconic creatures in movies, merchandise, and make-up shows, but they’ve always been on the sidelines when it comes to theme park attractions. That’s all about to change with the introduction of Dark Universe, a brand new land dedicated to the Universal Monsters.

So, what can we expect from Dark Universe? Well, according to Universal, it’s going to be a place where these classic monsters are reimagined in an “ominous and chilling experience.” Imagine stepping through a spooky portal into a world where Frankenstein’s monster, Dracula, the Wolfman, and more roam freely. It’s like a dream come true for monster enthusiasts!

The main attraction of Dark Universe is said to be a massive dark ride set in a gigantic facade. And get this – it’s going to utilize the same ride system as the popular Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey! That means we can expect some seriously immersive and thrilling experiences as we journey through the sprawling estate of these legendary monsters.

But that’s not all – Universal has promised that this new land will offer everything we’ve ever wanted to experience with monsters. From the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to a shadowy landscape where monsters roam, it’s going to be a one-of-a-kind adventure for fans of the macabre.

One thing’s for sure, the concept art for Dark Universe looks absolutely incredible. The portal entrance is adorned with ominous trees and a towering structure covered in eerie lighting effects. It’s like something straight out of a classic monster movie!

And let’s not forget about the monsters themselves. Universal has teased that we’ll encounter Frankenstein’s monster, the Wolfman, Dracula, and more as we explore this spine-tingling new land. It’s a monster mashup like no other!  We can’t wait to step through that spooky portal and come face to face with some of our favorite literary monsters. It’s going to be a scream!

Universe Epic Monsters

Largest Universal Theme Park Yet

Epic Universe will be located on a 750-acre site near the Orange County Convention Center, just south of Sand Lake Road and east of Universal Boulevard. It’s about 12 minutes away from the main Universal Orlando Resort site. It will become the largest Universal park in the United States. The new footprint will nearly double Universal’s total available acreage! Universal says guests will be able to take Universal Orlando transportation between Universal Epic Universe and its existing properties.
Universal Orlando Resort is currently home to three parks — Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay water theme park. It’s also home to entertainment, shopping and dining destination Universal CityWalk as well as eight resort hotels. Its two newest, collectively known as Universal’s Endless Summer Resort, are about midway between the main Universal Orlando Resort property and Universal Epic Universe.
