Introducing Macapa Palms – A Fully Loaded Airbnb
So you’re planning a trip to Orlando, America’s most visited destination, and for good reason! Wahoo, yippee, I am SO excited for you! No, that is not sarcasm – the Orlando area is one of our family’s favorite places to be (which is why we visit several times a year). I could go into detail about the amazing food, beautiful weather, not to mention the endless options of family fun – but that is not what I am writing about today. The first thing you need to do when booking a family trip to central Florida is find somewhere to stay. This is pivotal in your planning, after all – being America’s most visited destination comes with an overwhelming amount of lodging options.
Staying in Orlando/Kissimmee
Before you google “best place to stay in Orlando” let me help you! After visiting the area for more than 10 years, both single and with a family, I can tell you that an Airbnb is a great option when traveling with little ones. Somewhere close to all the action but with the comfort of home. And let me save you the headache of finding one of the best – because I have already found it!
EPIC “Macapa Palms”
Macapa Palms, located in Kissimmee at Windsor at Westside and hosted by Vacation Alchemy, is a jaw-dropping luxury home with 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms (you heard me – 8!!), hosted by Alchemy Hosting. This home is the epitome of Airbnbs, boasting themed rooms, a large private pool & hot tub, a dedicated game room, outdoor kitchen, and so much more. The community is gated and has a World Class Clubhouse and amenities.
Macapa Palms is perfect for hosting a large family, several families traveling together, a large group of friends – you catch my drift! As I stated above, there are 8 bedrooms. There are two masters downstairs (both with King beds). Upstairs are the other 6 bedrooms, and a large movie room. Four of the bedrooms are themed – a jungle theme (my personal favorite), a princess theme, spider-man theme (complete with your own life size Spiderman), and Star Wars theme. The attention to detail is nothing short of spectacular. Everything is so well decorated with great quality items (refreshing for an Airbnb). I can also appreciate the welcome bottle of wine, the perfect start to your trip!
The kitchen and dining room are spacious, even if you aren’t planning to cook – it is pretty to look at! We personally enjoy cooking our own breakfast and lunch, then splurging on dinner.
We spent every morning eating breakfast outside on the patio, then going for a swim in our beautiful private pool. The design of the pool and hot tub was unlike anything we had seen before. When not in use, the hot tub flows into the pool (making a lovely waterfall sound), and when you want a dip in the hot tub just turn on the jets and it is hot within 25 minutes – amazing! There is an outdoor closet full of pool floats and toys, sure to keep the kiddos entertained. Be sure to peak into the back yard and see if you spot Alfred the Alligator, along with his friend the Great Crane – they made quite the dynamic duo!
Windsor at Westside Resort
Macapa Palms is a short walk from Windsor at Westside Club House. Here you will find a kids waterpark, lazy river (that moves quite fast!), fitness center, basketball court, volleyball court, and soccer field. Everyone that you meet is cheerful and happy – and why wouldn’t they be?! They are on vacation!
Tron Game Room at Macapa Palms
And last but not least, the “garage”. I say “garage” with quotes because it has, in fact, been converted to the most incredible game room I have ever seen at a house. This Tron game room has skee-ball, air hockey, Tron arcade game, foosball, giant jenga, and a tv! It is where my kids spent any spare time out of the pool, and where my husband could be found. The detail that went into the design will blow you away – and you will find yourself daydreaming about transforming your own garage at home.
I literally could go on and on about this home for many more paragraphs – it is that legendary. The icing on the cake was the hosts of the home. Talk about great communicators and kind people. They take a lot of pride in their home and it shows. Everything here is top notch, clean, well maintained, comfortable beds (I’m talking super soft sheets too), spacious.
Location is key, and Macapa Palms has an excellent location. Here are some of the highlights:

• 21 mile drive to Universal
• 29 mile drive to Orlando’s International Airport
