Florida Bass Fishing

Central Florida Bass Fishing Guide Service has a track record for over 30 years in the Orlando and throughout the Central Florida area. Central Florida guide service is actively involved in the area and very conservation supportive. Our guides in the area have more time and experience then any others!

We fish a number of Florida’s best big bass lakes depending upon weather conditions, lake levels, time of year and other factors affecting fish behavior.

Majority of the time we are fishing Kissimmee Chain, which is about 25 minutes from the Disney World/Orlando i-drive area. Lake Toho, the top lake in the chain, has been hot for quite a few years. Even though B.A.S.S. Top Pros broke all kinds of records, for most fish over 10 pounds, biggest one day weight, and biggest four day total. At different times of the year other parts of the chain can get HOTTER than a firecracker and yield great catches also.

Orlando Bass Fishing

Let’s go bass fishing at the most famous bass lake in the country – Lake Tohopekaliga or “Lake Toho.”  We recommend you hire a guide so you get the most out of your family adventure.

AJ’s Orlando Bass Fishing Guide service can be contacted at: (407)-288-9670 or Ajsbassguides@orlandobass.com

Most of our charters take place on the stunning West Lake Tohopekaliga, also known as Lake Toho or West Lake by the locals to differentiate it from nearby East Lake Tohopekaliga. Located just minutes from Disney World and Orlando, this 22,700-acre lake is named after the Seminole Indians who used to inhabit the area and means “we will gather together here.” Thanks to its shallow flats of maidencane, bullrush, and hydrilla, Lake Toho is home to thriving populations of baitfish and bass.

To further enhance the lake’s ecosystem, the bottom of Toho has been improved by allowing for extreme drawdowns to the water level. During these drawdowns, bulldozers remove muck deposits from shoreline areas, simulating a natural drought. As a result, the shoreline of Toho is now ideal for spawning bass.

Considered one of the most famous bass lakes in the country, Lake Toho consistently produces more big bass than any other lake. The Florida Wildlife Commission’s biologists have noted that there is one bass over ten pounds for every ten acres of the lake. Despite the increase in fishing pressure due to its fame, Lake Toho continues to produce impressive results, with Bassmaster magazine naming it “the most consistent lake in the country for producing both numbers and trophy-sized bass” in their list of top 100 lakes. Many major tournaments, including Bassmasters, MLF, and FLW events, are held on Toho each year.
